Eliot Visits

Eliot Visits is a program to build enriched relationships through care and concern for one another. Eliot Visitors currently stay in touch with members and friends of Eliot who are experiencing short-term crisis or long-term change or care needs in their lives. Eliot Visitors are called to care and engage in friendship. Eliot Visitors nurture physical and emotional well-being by reaching out in phone and in person to visit and thereby grow in friendship.

To share the journeys and passages of life in ongoing relationship is one way we celebrate our reverence for life, recognizing both joy and sorrow. The Eliot Visits program encourages mutuality in friendship emerging from ongoing caring relationships. The program is a ministry of our members and friends to one another. It is social, and often conversation is full of humor and story and reminiscence. It also offers an advocating presence in care situations of significant dependency. It provides relationship and respite for primary caregivers among our members and friends. It assures family who may live at great distance from our community that their loved ones among us have the support and assurance of community.

Please contact Rev. Bonnie Vegiard (314-821-0911 or ) if you are interested in this program, either because you want to become a Visitor or because you or someone you know in our Eliot community might benefit from the program.
