Financial Support This church is a community of ourselves. Its energy and resources are our energy and resources. Its wealth is what we share. When we contribute to the life of this community, we affirm our lives within it. Eighty-five percent of the funds for the operation of Eliot Chapel come from pledges of members and friends. The Board of Trustees establishes an operating budget for each fiscal year beginning July 1. Commitment Sunday is held each spring and pledges are made for the upcoming fiscal year. During the church year pledges are accepted from new members and friends for the remaining months of the fiscal year. Brochures on guidelines for giving, and other topics concerning pledging to Eliot Chapel are available by contacting the church office. Volunteer Support There are many ongoing and recurring committees and events that are vital in providing programming, services and fellowship within Eliot Chapel. Participating as a volunteer is the best way to become familiar with Eliot Chapel and begin making a spiritual home here. To learn more about how to pursue your interests at Eliot, ask someone in Visitor's Corner of Adams Hall after each regular Sunday service. |
