Born in Rochester, New York on March 23, 1950, I am married to Cynthia Haynes and have three sons: Ben, David, and Zachary. Cynthia is employed full time as an Occupational Therapist in a local hospital.
I grew up in St. Louis County not far from Eliot. Following graduation from Colgate University in 1972, I spent three years in the Marine Corps. After discharge I began a fifteen year career in banking, which ended with my decision to attend Eden Seminary in Webster Groves, Mo. I graduated from Eden and was ordained to Community Ministry at Eliot in May, 1995. I currently serve as a Chaplain at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood. My major interests in ministry include: liberal evangelism, pastoral counseling, and men's issues.
