The Meal-A-Month program collects food and hygiene items for Hosea House, a food pantry in south St. Louis. Look for the shopping cart in Adams Hall, in the back corner near the kitchen.
Hosea House, part of Guardian Angel Settlement Association, serves approximately 1,000 individuals and families each month in the highest poverty area in South City. Their clients are allowed to "shop" for their own food twice a month.
We encourage each Eliot family to consider a $10 food donation each month to share with a family in need.
Current food needs are: soups, canned tuna and meats, canned and boxed pasta, canned pasta sauce, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, baby supplies (formula, baby food, diapers), and personal hygiene items. No glass, please.
