StewardshipStewardship is the spiritual commitment that each of us makes to support the needs of Eliot Chapel. Fiscal responsibility requires the management of an annual budget for the church. Spiritual commitment requires that each of us assess the importance of Eliot Chapel in our lives and give of our wealth and talents to support the spiritual needs that Eliot Chapel fulfills. Stewardship Committee The Stewardship Committee has been formed by the Board of Trustees to coordinate the ongoing operational, capital and endowment fundraising needs of Eliot Chapel. It encompasses the annual operating fund drive (formerly known as the annual canvass) and advises members and friends with the planning of gifts and bequests. The Stewardship Committee gathers information from and disseminates information to the congregation about Eliot Chapel's ongoing financial needs and what it will take to ensure that we manage our property well. For answers to questions about pledging, see Questions About Pledging. The committee is available to consult with prospective donors and assist them in selected planned giving programs. Congregational participation on the committee is welcomed and encouraged. For more information, please contact Chair Mike Antoine, . |
