Volunteer Spotlight: Greeters and Welcome Team

When you walk through the beautiful red front doors of Eliot Chapel, you open your heart to the possibilities of your spiritual past, present, and future. The first people you encounter are our Greeters and Welcome Team members. Their smiles and welcoming words make you feel as if you have arrived home. Under the direction of CJ Potts (right), as well as Rev. Krista, these 41 folks give generously of their time week after week. These leaders make it look so easy, but a lot of training, prep work, and organization lies underneath the smooth welcome that visitors, members, and friends receive. The Welcome Team is responsible for following up with visitors and answering questions, giving more information, and finding out who our visitors are and what they are seeking in a spiritual home. These teams are a true example of “It Takes A Village”!

We are so grateful for the dedication of our Greeters: Annie Russell, Nancy Shepard, Barbara Harris, Penny Shafer, Rebecca Schuder, Sue Blandford, Sarah Reutter, Jan Chamberlin, Doris Yohe, Sue & Steve Jarrett, Allison Weber, Pat Reed, Janet Solecki, Cindy Haynes, Peter Wilson, Madelyn Harris, Carolyn Burke, Teri Nicely, Lanette & Steve Tanaka, Bob & Mary Meihaus, Sue Lunnemann,  Sue Myers, Armetta Smitely, Elitta DeArmond, Susan Hayman, David Cox, and Susan Bell, and Welcome Team Members: Ann Lemon, Tanya Hull, Lynn Murphy, Yvonne Serbell, Mary Nestojko, Kathy Brunts, Nancy Spargo, Sue Lunneman, Tim Gardner, David Demsky, and Toni Saunders.
