Immigration Justice Team Meeting: Tuesday, February 27

This election cycle, immigration issues won't be ignored. The US Senate passed a bill authorizing over $118 billion on weapons, border militarization, and war – the largest appropriation of funds for detention and surveillance in ICE’s history. And the Missouri legislature wants to join the fun. Three bills in the Missouri House would punish undocumented immigrants and their allies, criminalizing Missourians who are undocumented and potentially anyone who lives or works with someone without papers. The news is overwhelming, and it can be difficult to find a place to take a stand. Here’s an easy way to start:  Attend the next Immigration Justice Team meeting at 7:00 pm on Zoom – get the link in the Eliot on Zoom email Sunday morning. We will explore the Missouri bills, continue our path towards collective leadership for the team, and start planning for next year. We look forward to seeing you!
