Join us on Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29 for a relaxed weekend of just being together. Come for the whole weekend, one night, or just Saturday. A cost of $5 will go toward the use of the cottage.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
Arrival: Anytime that works for you. Bring your own dinner for Friday evening. Camp, or reserve a bed or mattress in the cottage or a bunkhouse. Cottage beds are for those needing extra help, or outlets for CPAPs.
After dinner: campfire and songs
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
Arrival: Anytime that works for you.
Morning: Coffee and tea provided in the cottage. Your own breakfast.
10:30 am: Morning hike/walk to Missouri/Gasconade Rivers Overlook
12:00 noon: Lunch at the shelter on your own
Afternoon activities are being planned. Ideas and suggestions are welcomed.
5:00-6:00 pm: Potluck dinner in the shelter. We want to be finished and cleaned up before dark!
Dusk: Campfire and songs
Anytime: There are numerous opportunities for active or not-so-active things to do. All are your choice. There are a number of hikes at Bergfried: to the quarry; to the overlook of the confluence of the Gasconade and Missouri Rivers; to the gravesite of a Civil War Union soldier; or the Homestead Trail. All activities are optional and the schedule is flexible. Sunset over the valley at Bergfried is gorgeous. For music around the campfire, bring musical instruments and/or song sheets if you have them.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
10:00 am: There will be a short worship service. Coffee and tea provided in the cottage, before and after the service. Bring your own breakfast. Packing up at your leisure.
