To get the most out of the experience, you’ll need to attend all 5 sessions, commit to completing the assigned homework, and be prepared to offer your service in Summer 2025. You’ll get the richest experience in person, but zoom is available if you can’t make a session in person. Preference will be given to first-time participants. If registration is at max or you have already participated in the class and want to join again, sign up for the
waiting list here. The class will have a capacity of 10 participants.
March 3, 2025 – Session 1: Unitarian Universalist Theology, A UU Theology of Preaching, and Choosing a Topic
March 10, 2025 – Session 2: The Order of Service: Mapping a Collective Spiritual Journey; Structuring Your Message
March 24, 2025 – Session 3: Exploring your topic
April 14, 2025 – Session 4: Present Draft 1, Give and Receive Feedback
April 28, 2025 – Session 5: Present Draft 2, Give and Receive Feedback
May 12, 2025 – Your final draft and full order of service will be due to Rev. Krista on May 12.
Times:
Sessions 1 - 3, 6:30 - 8:45 pm
Sessions 4 and 5, participants will divide into two groups and meet either 5:00 - 7:00 or 7:15 - 9:15 pm
Join us in our historic Sanctuary or online each Sunday at 9:45 and 11:15 am. After the service, stay for Coffee Hour in Adams Hall.
